Finite Element Analysis
We conducted Finite Element Analysis on several of our parts to evidence their strength and resistance to expected applied forces and torques. FSAE's regulations also stipulated that certain parts had to be resistant to specific forces, so we ensured to design according to those specifications.
STANDARDS & CODES
The most important set of standards and codes that we followed to ensure the safety and success of our project was the rulebook provided by FSAE. This rulebook derives its safety standards from leading mechanical and electrical engineering safety codes. We also consulted ASME standards and Columbia's FSAE team to ensure we abided by the safest possible practices.
